Cookie Policy
Last updated 5 July 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar local storage Hosterman uses. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the service.
Our approach
Hosterman uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage. We do not use advertising, marketing or third-party analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. Because these cookies are essential to provide a service you asked for, they do not require prior consent — but we tell you about them anyway.
What we store
- Session cookie — set when you sign in, to keep you authenticated and secure your session. Cleared when you sign out.
- Theme preference— remembers your light/dark choice (stored in your browser's local storage).
- Cookie notice acknowledgement— remembers that you've seen the cookie notice, so it isn't shown again (stored in local storage).
Third-party services
When your projects are served, our infrastructure and DNS providers (such as Cloudflare) may set their own strictly necessary cookies to route traffic and provide security. If you connect GitHub, GitHub sets its own cookies during sign-in on its domain, governed by GitHub's privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we use are essential, blocking them may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the dashboard.
